Project Update

On March 21, I took the project to the town board of commissioners to ask for approval. The board doesn’t vote on the day of the meeting, so everyone please pray for the project that it may be approved.

Our next step is to work on concrete donations. If anyone reading the website knows anyone who will do grading of the site, installing forms, and pouring the concrete for free or a discounted price, please slide over to the comment page and let us know. Please leave your name and number and we can discuss more on the subject over the phone.

We are also going to have another fundraiser coming on the weekend on June 2nd and 3rd! A 3v3 basketball tournament is going to go down at the community center. Ages will be from middle school on up boys and girls! We are looking forward to this fundraiser and more details will be released soon.

Stay tuned for the lastest and greatest on the project and how YOU can help!

ncaa_march_madness_logo_2016                   It is that time of year, where most of the country comes together to root for their favorite teams, March Madness!! The basketballs bouncing, the crowds roar, some nylon string music, it’s a great time, and you can participate in it! As our second fundraiser, we have decided to host a bracket challenge! Here is all you have to do to participate: First, you can slide on over to the donate page to donate the entry fee, and click the link listed on the page. Once you open up the site, select the $15.oo option under the March Madness area, and then proceed as the site tells you. Now to make your bracket! Click on the link below and sign into your Yahoo account. (If you don’t already have one, you will need to make one.) Then click on “join group”. The deadline for signing up is March 12 at 3:00pm. You cannot do anything else until after the Selection Sunday show is over. You then have two days to fill out your bracket in the group.

Christmas Tree Lot

Christmas Tree lotFor our first fundraiser, we sold Christmas trees. We had a fifty by fifty foot lot next to Sweet Creations in Varina. My dad and I built light stands and were able to light up the lot at night. We also had a wide range of inventory, including six to thirteen foot trees, wreaths, and homemade Christmas light balls! We managed to get started on the fundraising, and are still progressing towards the goal.
