My name is JD Minor, and I am a Boy Scout in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina. I am working on my Eagle Scout, the highest rank in Scouting. To achieve Eagle, Scouts are required to do a project to benefit the community in which they live. My project will be making improvements to the basketball court that I am building with the Town and Connect Church.

Fuquay-Varina does not have an outdoor basketball court. I chose to undertake construction of the court to benefit the Town, and save the Town money in the process.

The town, Connect Church, and I are partnering together to take this idea and make it a reality, but we cannot do it alone. We need the community of Fuquay-Varina to back us up on this project! We need you to come out and participate in our fundraisers! We need you to spread the word of the project. Post it on Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter, anything helps!!

Project LogoI understand that this project is a huge undertaking as a teenager, or anybody for that matter. But I firmly believe that partnering with Connect Church, and most importantly, the community of Fuquay-Varina, can make this project a success!

  1. JD I Own Paladin Indoor soccer in fuquay. You are sendings message that you can actively do something – and make a change – instead of expecting others to do it. I would like to donate or help you in anyway with another fundraiser. I am a female who owns a small business and saved every penny to open a facility. I know the hard work it takes.
